My personal belief is that it is better to get to know someone a little before you do business with them so I
offer you this cliff notes biography.
I come from a Real Estate family, but it didn't start out that
way. I spent many years as a Navy Brat. I was born at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois and quickly moved to
Chula Vista California. From there our family moved to Midway Island where we lived for 5 years.
My dad was transferred to Minnesota in the mid 1970's. I can
honestly say that our acceptence of coming from a Hawaiian Island and moving to the land of snow and ice was a shocking
one, but I grew to love the change of seasons and the variety to life they bring. I believe that Minnesota is one of the best places in the
country to raise a family. My father retired from the Navy and became licensed in Real Estate some time in
the late 1970's.
I grew up in Burnsville and graduated from Burnsville Senior
High School.
I went on to graduate from Normandale Community College and the University of Minnesota.
At the time I didn't really have an intention of going into Real Estate, but the opportunity to work with and learn from
my father was probably the reason I was originally licensed in 1993.
We worked at a small real estate company in Bloomington and
the early years were a
growing and educating experience for me. We worked several years together before my dad decided to retire. At
that time I also decided it was time for a change and switched careers, selling accounting software for a few years before
deciding that Real Estate was where my heart was. I returned full time to the business with new understanding and
energy.
When I returned I worked for a large company for several years, but finding no real advantage for
me or my clients I recently switched back to a smaller company where creative ideas flow. In this market creativity
is a blessing!
Currently I live in Lakeville
with my wife Kim, son Justin, and daughter Emma. We really enjoy the community, an
d
the family life here. Minnesota truly is
the best place to raise a family.
Well
there you go short as it was. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you too.
